2021 Multicultural Student Scholarships
For each of these scholarship awards, students must complete an application form, submit a resume, essay and provide two (2) letters of recommendations. The scholarship award is $2000.
The application is open September 1, 2020 - December 15, 2020. The awards will be distributed for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Crazy Horse Scholarship
- Identify, on the application for admission, as a Native American Undergraduate student (first preference given to Native Americans from reservations)
Donald Smith Scholarship
- Identify, on the application for admission, as an African-American/Black student
- Study in a technical field
- Be a sophomore, junior or senior as of fall 2021
- Demonstrate financial need (as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid)
- Show degree progress
Herta David Minority Student Scholarship
- Identify, on the application for admission, as a multicultural student
- Be a sophomore, junior or senior as of fall 2021
- Have a 2.50 GPA at the time of application
- Demonstrate financial need (as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid)
- Come from a challenging family background
Lawrence Shindel Scholarship
- Identify, on the application for admission, as a Native American, full-time undergraduate student
- Be a member of a federally recognized tribe
- Have documentation of being ¼ or more Native American
- Preference given to students who will be juniors or seniors as of fall 2021
